Bentley’s Traveling LEARNing Conference

Users from the US, UK and Germany can participate in Bentley’s LEARNING conference.

Bentley’s LEARNing Conference goes global to teach users AECO (architectural, engineering, construction, and operations) workflows within the Bentley software-based system. The seven UK, Germany and US events will reach a wider audience of engineers to pass on training to advance understanding & construction and civil careers.

The LEARNing Conference will focus on teaching Bentley Software through workshops and lectures with a focus on hands-on learning.  Additionally, participants will be able to count the conference to IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training) units as instructors will be IACET accredited.

The conference will follow a similar format to Bentley’s SELECT Open Access software which allows users to access a portfolio of discipline specific applications and software while working on the same project. This means that users will tailor their learning to the applications and software they need. Training will also include MicroStation, ProjectWise and the Bentley Developer Network.

The first event will be co-hosted by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). Their Engineering service manager, Daniel Blecher, noted that the “MDOT is proud to co-host this year’s first Bentley LEARNing Conference, which is being held in Michigan this May. One hundred members of our team are looking forward to participating in the conference’s learning and networking opportunities.”

The first event will take place in Detroit from May 14-15, while the other events will take place:

  • Birmingham UK, June 3-4
  • Phoenix, AZ, June 17-18
  • Philadelphia area, PA, July 15-16
  • Towson, MD, July 29-30
  •  Charlotte, NC, Sept 9-10
  • Frankfurt area, Germany, Oct 6-7
  • Mainz, Germany, Oct 8-9

“At our 2014 Bentley LEARNing Conferences, the learning is empowered by a mix of networking and social learning opportunities, along with interactive workshops and lectures that enable users to do a deep dive into the features and benefits of the software products and services they need to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively,” said George Church, Bentley Systems Sr. VP.

“Better still, each conference is structured to make it easy for attendees to share what they learn with others in their respective organizations,” Church adds. “I invite and encourage each of our users to join us at these information-rich learning experiences!”

It seems that Bentley is looking to divide and conquer.
