Announcing the Future of Design, Fusion 360 by Autodesk.

In order to Design Faster, Work Anywhere, and Share data with anyone, Autodesk has developed the next generation in design and engineering software. Autodesk Fusion 360 brings together mechanical, industrial, and conceptual design tools in an easy-to-use cloud-based tool.

With a front end website similar to typical social media sites, Fusion 360 is easy to use and quick to learn.  It allows faster design with native file import and export with drag-n-drop ability. Fusion 360 will be introduced across domains: web, rich client, iOS, and Android. Users access Fusion 360 by creating sites within the site. A user can create as many sites as needed and invite as many or as few people to have access to the site as necessary for the project. All data is archived, backed up, and versioned within the site. There is no IT infrastructure or support needed besides internet access and a device to install the application on. At this time, there are no data limits.

Fusion 360 comes as a subscription service. Users do not own the license. There are monthly and annual subscriptions available. Canceling or suspending a subscription does not prevent access to personal data. User accounts remain active, allowing: login, data access (for copying and downloading), and data export. Designs cannot be authored or edited without an active subscription.
