PHOENIXVILLE, PA, Apr 22, 2022 – Andersson Technologies LLC has released SynthEyes 2204, the latest version of its 3D tracking and match-moving application for Windows, macOS (with native M1 support), and Linux.
Highlights of the new 2204 version include:
- New greatly enhanced floating license manager, SyFlo2, with cloud licensing, a web interface, etc.
- New Managed Seat licenses, for use in the cloud; and Managed Temporary licenses, for tracking artist surges.
- SynthEyes Windows and Linux versions (in addition to macOS) can now read and write movies with all Apple ProRes codecs, from ProRes Proxy to full ProRes 4444 XQ, including 16-bit/channel data and an alpha channel.
- New Rectify Lens Grid calibration tool to “just fix” lens grid images, in addition to the existing Lens Master Calibration, which now supports anamorphic distortion with negative Distortion Eccentricity, for shots with both barrel and pincushion distortion.
- New Universal Scene Description aka USD (.usda) Exporter. Very full-featured including rig export, vertex caches, projection screen generation, etc — a possible FBX and Alembic replacement.
- Frame number/timecode/timestamp burn-in for camera view, perspective views, Preview Movies, Save sequence, or combinations.
- Separate per-shot “Match Frame Numbers” setting on the Shot setup panel.
- Change Shot Images automatically handles most common time-shifting, to match frame numbers or timecode.
- Improved features for generating and using Flexes: curves in 3-D space.
- Seven new tutorials on ProRes, Rectify Lens Grid, USD, and more.
- You can read the full list of ~100 more additional improvements and bug fixes.
