America Makes announces the 2022 Class of America Makes Ambassadors

America Makes, the Department of Defense’s manufacturing innovation institute for additive manufacturing, proudly announced the 2022 class of America Makes Ambassadors at the 2022 Members Meeting and Exchange (MMX). The Ambassador Program, launched in 2017, recognizes individuals who have continually demonstrated outstanding dedication to advancing America Makes and its mission.

With the additive manufacturing industry’s thrust into the spotlight this year, the 2022 class represents a cross-section of the industry who’s work helped further advance additive technology and showed the resilience of the additive manufacturing community. It also represents the advances made in additive manufacturing technology, ecosystem and workforce development.

Also during MMX last week, America Makes awarded Dennis Butcher, PhD. with the Distinguished Collaborator Award for 2022. The America Makes Distinguished Collaborator Award was established in 2014 to recognize individuals or organizations with an exceptional commitment and dedication to advancing additive manufacturing technology, practices, and innovation in the manufacturing industry. The recognized individuals are honored for cultivating effective collaborative relationships with academia, government, and industry and contributing to the mission of America Makes.
