Organizations will explore the use of simulation, AI, and data analytics for aviation, MRO, space, and robotics applications.

Altair has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Georgia Institute of Technology to support aerospace-related research. Under the agreement, Georgia Tech’s Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory will gain access to Altair’s tools and software to aid in projects focused on simulation and data analytics. The collaboration will explore applications of simulation, data analysis, and AI in aviation, maintenance and repair operations (MRO), space, and robotics.
The two organizations will work together on projects that allow Georgia Tech faculty, researchers, and doctoral students to use Altair technology in support of academic and applied research. The MoU highlights joint efforts on technology demonstrators aimed at sharing knowledge and exploring potential commercial and scientific applications.
This MoU reflects Altair’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with organizations in the aerospace and defense sector. Previous partnerships with groups like JetZero and the European Space Agency (ESA) demonstrate its approach to building a broad network of research and development across the industry.
