Ceo of AfterCAD Software (of Canada) Christopher C. Boothroy tells us to license now to avoid litigation later:
Before the rumours get started out there, thought I'd set the record straight that Aftercad has started licensing discussions with a number of entities for its Live 3D Platform.
As part of that effort, yes, there have been some folks who have [been given] a polite but pointed reminder that [our technology] is Patent Pending, and they may want to license now to avoid injunction and damages later in Canada and Europe.
No, we are not suing anyone (yet), but there is some loud wailing and gnashing of teeth out there…
The company's software displays 3D models and data for collaboration in Web browsers using AJAX. Interesting is the list of countries left out of his list, because AfterCAD got a patent pending in the USA last September.
