AMETEK has introduced its Near Infrared Borescope (NIR-B) 3XR, which provides continuous reformer tube wall temperature (TWT) measurement, as well as furnace optimization and monitoring, allowing accurate temperature point data to be measured, stored and trended over the lifetime of a furnace.

By providing a temperature measurement range of 600- 1800°C, the NIR-B 3XR provides the hydrocarbon processing industry with an imaging system for the specialized process conditions of reformer and cracker tube furnaces.

Hioki has announced its Memory HiCorder MR8740T, a multichannel recorder that doubles the number of channels of the previous modelto 108 (for analog measurement) while providing the ability to save data to storage media up to 100 times faster than was previously possible.

Designed to record waveforms over extended periods of time, Memory HiCorders accept plug-and-play measurement modules such as voltage measurement and pulse generator units, enabling users to build a variety of test models.

Keysight Technologies has unveiled its N9048B PXE Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) receiver, which provides high sensitivity measurements and diagnostics for faster electromagnetic compliance (EMC) certification.

EMC certification is a required step in bringing any electronic device to market, as it demonstrates safe and reliable operation. Failing EMC compliance testing due to faulty designs can result in costly product delays. The N9048B PXE EMI lets independent compliance test laboratories and companies with in-house self-certification labs conduct radiated and conducted emissions tests, certifying that a product meets local regulatory compliance standards.

PROMAX has launched its RANGER Neo analyzers for signal coverage analysis in automotive autopilot testing. A specific function for drive testing is available and a USB GPS can be connected to the analyzers to geolocate each measurement while the test is being executed. Data can be displayed in Google Earth, or exported to Excel or CSV. Moreover, the Neo’s four hours of battery operation make it unnecessary for users to rely on the car lighter port as a power source.

Tektronix has released its AFG31000arbitrary/function generator (AFG), which features a 9-inch capacitive touchscreen that allows users to view all related settings and parameters on a single screen within a shallow menu tree.

In addition to traditional AFG operation modes, the deviceincludes an Advanced or waveform sequencer mode. In the Advanced mode, the instrument’s 128 Mpts of waveform memory can be segmented into up to 256 entries, and users can drag and drop long waveforms or multiple waveforms in the sequencer and define how they are output.
