BIM software company ALLPLAN has added a new office in Pennsylvania—its first outside of Europe.

ALLPLAN, noted for its BIM-oriented CAD software for construction and engineering projects, announced its new location on June 7. The office—located in West Chester, Pa.—will cover the North American market, as well as parts of the South American market.

The company has already chosen a leadership team for the location. "The opening of the U.S. office is an amazing opportunity, and I’m glad to be part of such an innovative company at the forefront of digitizing the AEC market," Simon Slater, the new American SVP of marketing, said in a statement. “Having spent many years in software for the construction industry, it is great to deliver a comprehensive solution portfolio that provides powerful tools for all stages in the life cycle of a building to a market with such a potential.”

The move comes a little over a year after ALLPLAN announced its new UK office, the first located outside of Continental Europe. The office, located in the small town of Ashby, was set up to cover the Northern European and UK markets. At the time, then-Managing Director Richard Brotherton said that the new office was "part of ALLPLAN’s international growth strategy," and that the markets it would cover had "a strong potential."

In the intervening months, ALLPLAN further focused on the international market, and appointed two new senior vice presidents for International Sales and Product Management.

In discussing the company’s newest office, Brotherton, now ALLPLAN's CEO, again mentioned the international significance of the new location. "After a very successful launch of the UK office last year and the great feedback and results we have seen, the new U.S. office is the next logical part of our international growth strategy," he said in a statement.

And Brotherton is optimistic that ALLPLAN’s success will continue. He added, “We believe we will continue the success we have been having in our approach of BIM for infrastructure and in developing these markets. The U.S. market has a strong potential, and the market investigation showed that ALLPLAN brings great benefits to meet the challenges of moving to digital infrastructure construction and BIM.”
