Ladder logic is an old standby of industrial control programming. New technologies are entering the market that have potential to help manufacturing enterprises, but adherence to old standards may be hindering adoption of newer devices and controls.

Marissa Tucker is product manager of controls and HMI at Parker Hannifin. In this video, she discusses some of the factors that may be keeping industrial enterprises stuck with the wrong standards, and some ways to escape the rut of being tied to one PLC manufacturer.
