Atlas Copco Dry Vacuum Pump

Atlas Copco has released its DHS VSD+ dry vacuum pump. Built for rapid cycling and continuous operation applications, the DHS VSD+ is a clean, zero contamination dry vacuum pump that requires no water or oil cooling.

Housed in a noise reducing canopy, the pump is equipped and controlled with the MK5 Elektonikon. This integrates the pump to plant management systems. Users get the latest status updates on running and stopped hours, warning, and fault and shutdown indications.

Beckhoff PC-based Control for Warehouse and Distribution Logistics

Beckhoff has launched TwinCAT 3, a system for warehouse and distribution logistics based on a uniform hardware and software platform consisting of Industrial PCs or PC-based Embedded Controllers, EtherCAT as communication system and decentralised I/Os and drives. Support for all common networks, fieldbus systems and software protocols provides consistent horizontal and vertical communication.

Elmo Gold Twitter Servo Drive

Elmo Motion Control has developed an enhanced version of its Gold Twitter version with single source up to 95VDC.  This will allow users to utilize a single source power for both the drive and the logic power.

Gold Twitter 80V and 100V versions can now operate from a single power supply. VL (Control Supply) and VP+ (Power Supply) operating from a single source is a benefit for machine builders, as the single control supply topology contributes to lower EMI and reduced sensitivity to poor external wiring.

Mitsubishi Low-Profile Direct Drive Motor

Mitsubishi Electric has introduced its TM-RG2M and TM-RU2M Low-Profile Direct Drive Motors. Built with speed and precision in mind, they provide a smaller footprint and allow for more compact and precise machines than those typically built using rotary servo motors. Applications that are suited for the motors include coating and vapor deposition systems, index tables, tool changers, rotary material handling robots and rotary axis on XY inspection positioning systems.

Yaskawa Drive

Yaskawa has unveiled its GA800 drive, which includes embedded functional safety features to reduce down-time. The GA800 has a long usage life with conformal coated circuit boards and protection systems for harsh environments. In addition, the GA800 guides users with the use of a Setup Wizard, and provides a DriveWizard PC and Mobile tools package featuring Bluetooth connectivity and cloud services.
