3D Systems Plans to Resume V-Flash® Rollout Activities

Rock Hill, South Carolina – 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC) announced that it plans to resume its managed phased rollout of its V-Flash® FTI 230 Desktop Modeler following its World Conference this week. The company previously halted shipments of this modeler earlier this year pending resolution of several technical difficulties that affected the modeler’s performance. The company plans to continue with its carefully managed phased rollout plans through the first quarter of 2009 and, pending the successful outcome of this phase, commence full commercial activities for the V-Flash® FTI 230 Desktop Modeler.

The company also plans to unveil during its World Conference its plans to commercialize a high-definition V-Flash® HD 230 Desktop 3-D Printer that will use the company’s patented Film Transfer Imaging (FTI) technology. 3D Systems expects to introduce this compact, office-friendly, high-definition 3-D Printer in 2009.

The V-Flash® HD 230 Desktop Modeler is being designed to enable the quick, accurate build of models from 3-D CAD in any office environment. Intended for producing extremely detailed parts at low-cost, this easy-to-use 3-D Printer should be ideal for design, engineering and medical applications requiring accuracy, smooth surface finish, and form and fit capability. The V-Flash® HD 230 Desktop Modeler is expected to be mid-range in price, with the capability of building exceptionally thin walls.
