3D Systems Corporation announced the immediate availability of its new ProJet7000 production 3D printer, the second in its line of “crossover” technology. The ProJet 7000 combines push button simplicity with SLA printability to deliver prototypes, parts and patterns.
It has a large build volume of 15 X 15 X 10 inches and a build speed that the company claims is up to four times the production capacity of other printers in its class. The build area is 125% bigger than the first in the crossover line, the ProJet 6000.
The ProJet 7000 comes in three models: the SD (standard definition), HD (high definition) and the MP (medical —and dental — products). The ProJet 7000 prints fine feature details with layer thickness ranging from 0.002 to 0.005 inch and beam diameters ranging from 0.003 to 0.005 inch.
This large capacity printer uses six VisiJet materials with a range of properties: tough, flexible, black, clear and high temperature.
“Customers asked us for larger and more part printing capacity and our ProJet 7000 delivers. Its expanded print format delivers both larger models and more parts in a single print for enhanced overall productivity,” stated Buddy Byrum, Vice President Product & Channel Management for 3D Systems.
