There are several groups looking into this and studying it right now. The Society of Manufacturing Engineers is sponsoring a group that is working on those type of insurance codes that could be used. But as of this date, it’s a little bit unknown. There are areas where insurance can cover it and there are also, many times, where insurance isn’t covering the additive manufacturing device. It varies case by case but experts predict a lot will change in the next 3 to 5 years in that regard.
