3D body digitizers unravel human morphology in scientific project

Creaform, a world-class company in 3D technology and engineering services, announced that its 3D Body Digitizers are generating valuable results for a large-scale scientific project on human morphology led by the University of Calgary. The University along with two other American universities has been studying human genetics and morphology as part of a scientific project on the genetics of the human face, focusing on cleft lip and palate of thousands of Tanzanian children, as well as the study of human morphology on thousands of American children of different ethnic groups. Said Professor Benedikt Hallgrimsson, University of Calgary, “Data quality has been largely generous, allowing us to apply state-of-the-art geometric and morphometric techniques.”
