Morris Technologies Releases Stainless 17-4 PH

Stainless steel staplerMorris Technologies, Inc. (MTI) now offers 3D-printed parts in stainless 17-4 PH with multiple heat treatment options. The company has been developing this material for use in direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) machines for a year.

This material is precipitation hardened and heat treated to exceed the minimum requirement of the AMS standards (from SAE International). It has comparable properties to commercial wrought materials.

Heat treatment options range from H900 to H1150, yielding a variety of material properties tailored to engineering applications. A material property datasheet is available at the company’s website.
