Job Description:

Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), which provides installation/base management and facilities engineering worldwide. The primary capability areas of Planate are on Architectural Engineering Design & Planning, Program & Construction Management and Technical & Consulting Services.

Reporting to the Senior Inspector, the Inspector will be responsible for providing the daily review and assessment of the Navy housing construction. You will also ensure the standards and local code regulations are in compliant with the government regulations.

This position will be assigned within the Continental United States, the Caribbean, the Far East, Europe, Africa, and South West Asia.

Key responsibilities:

  • Handles the assessment of Family Housing (FH) and Unaccompanied Housing (UH) facilities at Navy Installations worldwide
  • Conducts on-site inspection, quality assurance and progress monitoring
  • Performs capacity and configuration assessments and validates housing inventory
  • Provides administrative support such as, but not limited to on-time submission of reports, tracking of submittals and requests for information and maintenance of project correspondence
  • Provides customer services, advice, guidance and information, as appropriate.

 

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Degree or associate degree in any field of study
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Inspector or Assessor gained from any military housing/building construction
  • Knowledgeable in performing condition assessments and validating housing inventory
  • Strong military training covering the logistics, services and supply or equivalent civilian course work, preferred
  • Committed to devoting sufficient time to this contract and associated task orders
  • Proficient in English both verbal and written
  • Safety focus and detail oriented
