Opening – Introduction: Troy Niehaus, Rand Worldwide Nomination of officers: Troy Niehaus, Rand Worldwide Mike Brown was nominated for Chairperson There was a quorum and all candidates were voted on and approved for their new positions Featured Guest Speaker: Mark Van Horne from Boeing PLM Implementation Strategies for the Global EnterpriseAbstract: Boeing is deploying the "Lean Enterprise" business model to answer the customer's need for more value in the 7E7 Dreamliner airplane. This lean model includes ensuring they get the best value components and technology, world-class capability and a global presence to design, build, certify, and support the airplane. This presentation will share some of the winning strategies Boeing is using to work with their partners and suppliers to design, manage, and integrate the physical, functional, and build integration aspects of the airplane using V5's lifecycle management capabilities in a concurrent environment. Mark was presented with an attractive gift box for taking the time to talk to our group. Thanks Mark!! CATIA V5r13 Update: Bill Gratzek, Rand Worldwide Bill showed the group the latest and greatest inside r13. CATIA V5 Manufacturing Automation: Bill Gratzek, Rand Worldwide Bill demonstrated the ease of automation inside of CATIA V5. PLM Hardware Discussion: Robin Hansen, IBM Robin presented information about the IBM IntelliStation workstations and their value with PLM applications. Consulting Services for Boeing 7E7: Andrew Snowey, IBM Andrew discussed how both IBM and Rand Worldwide can help suppliers to Boeing’s 7E7 program get up-and-running in their PLM environment.
