Functional Tolerancing and annotation is useful to define characteristics of your parts and products in a 3D environment. Using these tools allows you to avoid having to create two dimensional drawings. It is important to understand that to fully utilize the tools in this course you must be familiar with the fundamentals of the geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). It is not the intention of this course to teach you GD&T. It is assumed that you are already knowledgeable of the fundamentals since proper use of these tools is requires it.
