| Job Description: |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Run daily operation of the Detailing, Design, and Document Control departments
? Train personnel
? Review the Design / Detailing schedules to ensure all deadlines are met
? Review and approve all Outside Detailing contracts
? Staff maintenance
? Customer communication
? Inter-company communication
? Provide engineering assistance to all other departments (Sales, Estimating, Detailing, Shop, Project Management)
? Responsible for development of new, and improvement of existing Design and Detailing technology
? Develop / maintain departmental budgets
Education & Training:
A combination of 7-10 years of engineering and management experience, minimum BS in Civil / Structural Engineering, and Professional Engineer license (PE).
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Experience in the Steel / Construction industry, experience in management of personnel, experience in conflict resolution / negotiating. Also, knowledge of Structural Engineering Software (i.e.-RISA, StruCAD, etc.), and computer programming a plus.

Personal Computer; Computer Software includes: AutoCAD, MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
