As a Mechanical Project Coordinator, you will be a motivated individual with good interpersonal skills who will demonstrate commitment to our company’s mission, vision, values and business plan. He/she will take a leadership role and be responsible in the development and implementation of multi disciplined capital projects.
Candidates must possess an Engineering Degree with a strong mechanical background and a minimum three (3) years of heavy industrial experience, or a Technology Diploma with a strong mechanical background and a minimum six (6) years of heavy industrial experience. Preference will be given to individuals that have Project Management experience with process piping and pressure equipment in an operating facility or a construction environment. API 510, 570, or National Board certification would also be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will be a team player who: ? Is willing to work with cross functional teams ? Is comfortable working with internal and external resources on projects ? Is safety conscious ? Is able to apply strong oral and written communication skills for conducting meetings and writing technical documents such as Authorization for Expenditures and Construction Work Packages ? Is strong in understanding and supervising construction activities ? Is able to manage projects through their full life cycle, from conception through to closure ? Is proactive with controlling project costs and schedules ? Is comfortable with computers and has knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Project. ? Is able to plan, schedule and estimate ? Is familiar with standard construction techniques and engineering standards
