Mechanical Engineer - Medical Device Manufacturing

Full-time position for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years medical device design experience. Our client will pay you $90-115K base + a relocation package to Utah .

Requirements:

- Four year degree ( BSEE or BSME)
- Minimum of 5 years medical device design, development and manufacturing experience in a high-speed production env't
- Six Sigma Certification (Green/Brown/Black Belt)
- Lean Manufacturing
- Program Management

- Familiarity with FDA QSR/ISO 9000/ISO regulations
- Experience designing products for manufacturing and transferring products into production utilizing high volume injection
molding and automated assembly processes
- Knowledge of stress analysis (FEA), mechanical design, tolerance analysis, thermal effects, and fluid dynamics
- Thorough knowledge of thermoplastic and silicone material properties and associated molding processes

DUTIES:
- Lead/mentor other Mechanical Engineers
- Responsible for all technical aspects of product/process design with emphasis on manufacturability and time to market.
- Drive improvements and redesign of existing products/processes
- Identify cost reduction initiatives
- Define and implement equipment and automation
- Will be the technical resident expert to provide support to Maintenance and Manufacturing in the facility
