Senior Solar Engineer
Company Overview XXXX Solar Inc. is the first company to offer solar heat for industrial processes at a price lower than heat produced by burning natural gas. XXXX Solar thermal energy systems integrate seamlessly with conventional gas-fired industrial equipment to provide hybrid systems offering clean reliable energy. XXXX Solar is initially targeting applications in drywall manufacturing, sludge drying and enhanced oil recovery Position Role Collaborate with CTO on the design of a world changing solar thermal system that produces heat for industrial processes.
Requirements/Qualities *BS in Engineering, or equivalent, is a must (BS in Electrical, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechatronics preferred.) *5-10 years or more of experience designing products that will be manufactured in high volume. *Solar thermal experience highly desired but not required. *Broad based experience in designing for high volume mass manufacturing environment. *Adept with CAD and other computer based tools. *Strong understanding of processes and life cycle of products produced in high volume. *Experience of optics would be a plus. *Intelligence is highly valued. *Communication skills that clearly present ideas, theories and technical information to CTO and team members. *Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a start up environment. *Good written and verbal communication skills. *Good judgment and problem solving skills. *Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. *Must be proactive and possess the ability to independently carry out a variety of activities. *Exhibit strong teamwork and abilities while maintaining a positive attitude. *Flexibility, creative and eagerness to take existing system design to the next level.
