Responsibilities: Responsibilities include design of new and upgrading existing potable water, wastewater and stormwater drainage systems for municipalities and private clients, including contract administration.
Requirements: •An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university (Post-graduate degree is considered an asset); •Civil Municipal Engineer with 2-5 years of design engineering experience; •EIT or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta; •Candidates must have relative experience in working with municipalities in implementing, upgrading, rehabilitation and optimization programs, including scoping, budgeting and managing municipal water supply, sanitary and drainage projects; •Experience with industry standard computer design and modeling software, such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS, SYMHYMO, WaterCad and FlowMaster; •Excellent knowledge of municipal infrastructure planning principles, system analysis, and underground pipe network design is required; •Field data collection and municipal infrastructure investigation assignments; •Construction management experience is considered an asset.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiencies and experience in consulting engineering. Experience should include design projects in water, wastewater, and stormwater systems using the appropriate analytical and modeling programs. Excellent communication skills, including above-average command of written and spoken English, and ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
