As the ideal candidate you will be a Professional Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering, with a proven record of local government service at a management level, and a demonstrated record of working collaboratively with colleagues, developers, consultants, Council and the general public to achieve smooth efficient and effective service and project delivery. As the Manager of Engineering you will be responsible for short and long term planning and management of the City's Engineering Services Division which includes Development Engineering and the City's Capital Works program. The person in this position provides technical expertise for a wide variety of municipal infrastructure programs related to roads, transportation, sanitary sewer, water utilities, storm drainage facilities, buildings and parks. The Manager of Engineering will strive to develop and maintain the City's capital plans and maintenance programs to ensure the long term viability of municipal infrastructure. As one of the City's representatives on the Arrowsmith Water Service you will also play a significant roll in the planning, design, construction and eventual operation of a $40 million water intake and treatment facility expansion.
