This position will require occasional travel including international
destinations in Europe, South America and Asia


The Principal Airworthiness Engineer has overall responsibility for managing
all certification and continued airworthiness activities. Creation and
management of certification plans for all new programs requiring TSO
approval; Maintenance of all certification records; Communication and
coordination with the appropriate certification authorities for all in
service programs; Management of our Product Safety Life Management Programs;
A minimum of 10 years experience in the design, analysis or development
testing of gas turbine auxiliary power units, and their related control
system components, is required.

Must have a thorough understanding of both FAA and foreign regulations as
well as familiarity with acceptable methods of compliance to them. Excellent
written and oral communication skills, excellent presentation skills, the
ability to think and act independently and under pressure and the ability to
represent FAA position on airworthiness and certification issues and ensure
compliance
