Strategic Sourcing Manager IT, Capital Expenditures, Special Projects - Americas in Port Washington, NY
The Strategic Sourcing Manager IT, Capital Expenditures, Special Projects - Americas will serve as the AmericaÆs Strategic Sourcing Category Manager for Information Technologies (IT) and Capital Expenditures (CapEx), encompassing >$60M of PVO (spend) across eight facilities within the AmericaÆs region and will be assigned to M&A project teams to perform various due diligence activities from a Strategic Sourcing perspective as well as create, implement, and monitor various related integration plans and activities. The Strategic Sourcing Manager IT, Capital Expenditures, Special Projects û Americas will provide the leadership, strategy and appropriate level of tactical execution plans for the category and be responsible to identify, manage, develop, and align all Strategic Sourcing tasks related to IT and Capital Expenditures requirements including, but not limited to, IT Software, Hardware, Telecom, incorporating significant interaction with internal functions to provide Global Sourcing, Outsourcing and Supplier to Supplier transitions, in line with corporate strategy.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager IT, Capital Expenditures, Special Projects û Americas will be responsible to create, and implement such strategies while supporting overall strategy of PallÆs global Strategic Sourcing organization, and its related objectives in alignment cross-functionally. This individual will be responsible for performance to the various KPIÆs of Strategic Sourcing; including but not limited to Net Deflation, Purchase Price Variance, Cost Reduction, Margin Enhancement, DPO/Supplier Payables, Working Capital, Global Value Sourcing/LCC Sourcing, e-Auctions, and Supplier Performance / metrics.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager IT, Capital Expenditures, Special Projects û Americas will manage key supplier relationships, negotiate critical supply contracts, including assembling and analyzing market data, evaluating supply alternatives and crafting negotiating strategies, champion continuous development of suppliers to meet Palls ôPreferred/Qualified Suppliersö (Forward Procurement List), work in conjunction with business units and suppliers to identify that business objectives are strategically sourced in order to achieve most optimal product / service cost. This individual will support, monitor, evaluate, and mentor the Regional Indirect Strategic Sourcing team members while ensuring policies and procedures regarding compliance, commitments, early involvement, supplier selection, supplier evaluation, and supplier development related to the category are understood, and implemented.
ò Manages the regional strategy development, overseeing or conducting the competitive negotiation process for the AmericaÆs facilities.
ò Evaluate existing supplier base, to establish current state. Once established, define future state / ôbest in classö supply chain / supplier design requirements.
ò Interface with stakeholders and decentralized procurement teams to establish ôlocalö site inputs and drive collaboration, delivery excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.
ò Creation of category supplier rationalization program, with execution timeline
ò Design, and lead contract negotiations
ò Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, negotiating successfully while still maintaining relationships, and working effectively with people at all organizational levels, internally and externally
ò Builds effective relationships and successfully partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to drive results and lead and influence change
ò Dynamic understanding of market place technologies, for adoption, and incorporation into PallÆs value proposition.
ò Promote the use of E-Sourcing tools to reduce working capital
ò Business travel requirements up to 30%
ò BachelorÆs degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business or applicable discipline.
ò MBA preferred.
ò 5+ years of strategic sourcing / category management experience with an emphasis on *IT,
ò and *Capital Expenditures (*preferred, not mandatory).
ò Proven experience including negotiation skills, with demonstrated performance results, understanding and formulating the business requirements for a commercial contract.
ò Demonstrated experience leading and facilitating global geographically dispersed, cross functional internal teams to accomplish business objectives and projects, building cross cultural teams and delivering results.
ò Tactical strength, with the ability to support site locations (Internal Customer).
ò Experienced with SAP and the usage of electronic sourcing tools for RFI, RFQ, Reverse Auction, etc.
ò Requires 30% US travel
ò Multilingual ability (both written and oral) an advantage.
