This position is with a growing manufacturing organization and will be responsible for planning and directing all production engineering activities and personnel within the plant. Duties include: ò Ensuring proper and effective support of new product launches by the production engineering department; ò Ensuring process control systems for all production processes and providing adequate training to assure capability of implementing the control system; ò Overseeing the on-time input of the BOM/routings, and ensuring that production rates and machine cycle times are available for input for all new products; ò Helping in the development of plant layouts and materials/product flow plans; ò Assisting in the preparation of PFMEA, Process Design Sheets, Process Flow Diagrams, and other APQP activities.
ò 8+ years of experience in manufacturing; ò 2+ years of experience in Tooling and Facility Planning; ò 4+ years of experience in a lead, supervisory, or management role; ò Automotive components industry preferred; ò Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques and philosophies, 20 Tools of Process Control, SPC, APQP; ò Project Management, organizational and planning, problem solving and analytical skills; ò Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
