This position is with a manufacturing facility and will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Duties include: ò Identifying unsafe work conditions and practices, documenting and taking action to eliminate these conditions and behaviors; ò Investigating, recording, and following up on all workplace accidents; ò Working with the Workers Compensations carrier to ensure appropriate handling of all claims; ò Determining requirements and coordinating supplies of appropriate safety equipment and PPE to employees; ò Scheduling and coordinating the required industrial safety testing and monitoring; ò Championing the Behavior Based Safety program; ò Assisting the HR and Management Teams to identify safety training needs, tools and resources; ò Maintaining all written safety programs and training records; ò Assisting the HR department with day-to-day activities.
ò 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing Safety and Training supervisory role; ò Knowledge and experience with OSHA, EPA, Workers Compensation, SOPs, GMPs, HR Generalist functions, etc.; ò Knowledge and familiarity with Behavioral Based Safety is a plus; ò Above average presentation and computer skills.
