Job Description:



Our client, who is involved in the petrochemical industry, is actively recruiting for a Pipeline Integrity Engineer (permanent position). This role will be based out of the Red Deer area along with some travel to the United States.
Responsibilities:-+ The Pipeline Integrity Engineer will provide technical (Mechanical Engineering) leadership, expertise and assistance to the Pipeline Team. In addition, this position will be responsible for: -+ Managing the Pipe Integrity Plan and budget
-+ Maintaining familiarity with the Rapid Repair Plan
-+ Managing the rotating equipment reliability working in conjunction with the reliability team.
-+ Leading or coordinating studies as required ensuring the ongoing reliability and integrity of the pipeline systems
-+ Providing mechanical engineer expertise in the development and reviews of mechanical engineering packages
-+ Providing Pipeline contract support to the Manufacturing site business personnel
-+ Providing Project Management and support on a variety of projects
-+ Remaining current with changes to industry and regulatory standards
-+ Maintain Pipeline Integrity Quality Assurance manual to meet regulatory requirements
Qualifications:-+ B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, eligible for P. Eng. Status with APEGA
-+ Minimum 10 years engineering experience, including familiarity with pipeline inspection and repair techniques.
-+ Knowledge of CSA Z662 is required and knowledge of U.S. DoT Title 49 CFR 195 would be an asset
-+ Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage competing priorities
-+ Ability to work independently and within a multi-discipline team environment
-+ Excellent interpersonal, decision making and analytical skills
-+ The individual will be expected to participate on the reliability review board and leverage reliability systems and processes into the pipeline team.
-+ Project management experience would be an asset
