This position is responsible for managing the companyÆs welding/fabrication programs û both manual and robotic. Duties include: ò Providing welding processes to improve safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality; ò Developing new, efficient welding procedures, standards, sequences, and methods; ò Ensuring weld processes and equipment are in compliance with IOSHA, the companyÆs safety requirements, and ergonomic standards; ò Developing and recommending the most efficient weld sequences and processes; ò Troubleshooting manufacturing problems and leading the development and implementation of more efficient job processes; ò Ongoing inspections of weld processes and procedures and coordinating resolutions; ò Developing weld test procedures; ò Analyzing and planning space requirements, workflow and layout of equipment for maximum efficiency; ò Developing cost justifications; ò Evaluating new developments concerning welding/fabrication matters.
