SUMMARY: The Quality Engineer is responsible for the Quality Management System for our business unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Drive ISO certification and compliance; including overseeing internal audit functions (process, auditor selection and training, etc)
Strong Statistical Data Analysis (SPC) from numerous sources
Responsible for the Quality Management System ; including development and overseeing the overall quality system
Educate RSOT employees on quality & continuous improvement
Develop, oversee, and continually improve vendor certification process
Assist in employee development involving continuous improvement activities
Understand customer quality requirements and institute necessary changes within organization to achieve customer requirements
Lead variance reduction activities
Stay current on outside trends in the quality field and implement continuous improvement within our process (including, but not limited to six sigma, lean, DMAIC processes)
Supervise Quality Test Technicians û incoming inspections and product testing
Manage Document Control
Experience in scheduling and managing staff in 24/7 operation
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for 4 û 8 employees in the Quality Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting in the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requires a BS Degree in Engineering and three to five yearsÆ of related work experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
Requires a minimum of two yearsÆ supervisory experience
ISO 9001 experience
Strong statistical data analysis Background (SPC)
Demonstrated leadership skills and impeccable integrity
Computer/software competency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
ôHands onö incoming and measurement equipment and test equipment preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt certification or Lean experience preferred
