Job Description:
Technical Sales Engineer – Environment/Civil The Design Group Technical Sales & Marketing Division in conjunction with our client, an industry leading civil environmental group, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer. The mandate of the Technical Sales Engineer is to design and offer the optimal solution to the customer; professionally represent the products and services; generate leads and cultivate prospects within a defined territory. Key Responsibilities: • Recommend products and services through relevant technical knowledge, industry development and education • Negotiate pricing within predetermined guidelines. • Preparation and presentation of proposals. • Periodic site visits required during the sale sales process. • Attendance at seminars/conferences, trade shows, corporate and industry functions. Key Skills: • A minimum of3 to 5 years Sales experience in technical distribution-style company • P. Eng. Designation would be an asset • Strong technical expertise, using solutions-based approach, consultative selling • Must have general understanding of civil engineering and/or construction technology, management and practices • Functional understanding of conceptual design and synthetics application • Excellent computer knowledge • Familiarity within the construction, mining, transportation industries would be a considerable asset • Periodic travel All interested applicants should email their resumes in MS Word quoting job number 41868 to the attention of Jacqueline Moore at jmoore@dg.ca.
