Job Responsibilities:

Golder has 180 offices worldwide with over 8000 employees. We currently have vacancies for Senior Civil Design Engineers to join our team within the Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide offices. Key Responsibilities
Lead projects in the design discipline to help deliver multidisciplinary projects for local, national and international clients
Client relationship development and business development.
Project Management of design projects from inception through to successful completion within the required time, quality and financial objectives.
Ensure technical delivery of Design projects, including resource, financial, risk and quality management
Provide technical expertise, project direction and support to the design team and other groups to deliver the project outcome.
Prepare high quality proposals, reports, documents and other deliverables for clients.
Supervise, mentor, coordinate and review/evaluate activities carried out by junior staff.
Participate in training activities, mentoring and transferring knowledge to junior staff
Provide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/ eliminating high priority safety hazards
Travel interstate and internationally as may be required to develop and manage all aspects of projects.
Other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Tertiary qualification (degree) in Civil/ Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent, ideally with other appropriate continuing education
10 to 15 plus years of relevant experience in civil design and consulting. Exposure to mining and/or industrial waste management, landfill or related civil engineering fields
Ability to form and lead a team of professionals
Ability to integrate into existing projects and work under the direction of other professionals
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong communication and influencing skills to enable delivery of client focused services.
Strong civil design skills including earthworks and geosynthetics with good attention to detail
Sound geotechnical skills
Professional registration (CPEng) or eligibility for registration
Self-motivation and initiative
Ability to develop client relationships, engage with clients directly
Ability to integrate into a diverse group of professionals
Ability to draw upon the technical expertise of others when required, to deliver the project outcome
