Job Description:
This position will be responsible for overseeing the forecasting and collaborative demand planning process by assembling and assessing key inputs (sales history and trends, open orders, sales and marketing estimates, previous forecasts, new product launches) and performing statistical analysis in developing an accurate operational demand plan to ensure high service levels and efficient inventory management. This position will actively participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the Logility Demand Planning tool.

ò Set up and maintain Logility Demand Planning tool for assigned products and regions
ò Maintain statistical models and key drivers to provide an accurate forecast and ensure data integrity.
ò Responsible for system data entry and integrity of new items, sample items, item changes, pricing and purging discontinued items.
ò Ensure data interface through batch jobs accurately reflects source-system data
ò Enter commercial, customer, and operational qualitative and quantitative data into the demand pyramid
ò Review and resolve exceptions
ò Execute demand forecast process and modeling including gathering inputs, consolidating information, data entry, analysis; document and challenge forecast assumptions based on process input analysis, forecast modeling and monthly updates. Provide root-cause analysis to problem solve and seek corrective actions to issues preventing the Demand Planning team from meeting forecast accuracy and forecast bias goals.
ò Effectively partner and collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop independent forecasts; evaluate past sales history to recommend modifications to the independent forecasts. Assemble and assess statistical, sales and marketing forecasts with agronomic factors, competitive information, farmer economics, customer trends and product promotions which deliver increased forecast accuracy.
ò Facilitate the monthly Demand Meeting as part of the monthly S&OP process to define demand plan for supply chain inventory and production planning. Enter finalized forecasts into Logility Demand Planning.
ò Review and dissect forecasts, conduct trend analysis, identify opportunities and risks, effectively communicate to supply planners, and recommend appropriate revisions and tactics.
ò Highlight potential supply chain issues based on demand planning variances, and communicate potential inventory and service level impacts in a timely manner.
ò Improve local demand forecast process by conducting factor based analysis and providing feedback to individual forecast contributors.

Develop and analyze forecasting reports and key performance indicators to continuously improve the quantitative and qualitative insights and forecast models and plans.

Required Education:
ò Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related field

ò 3-5 years experience in supply chain management, preferably in demand analysis/planning
ò Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related field
ò 2-5 years in agricultural commercial role desired
ò APICS certification highly preferred
ò Logility Demand Planning, or other related statistical forecasting package, highly preferred
ò International business experience desirable
ò Strong leadership and analytical skills
ò Working knowledge of SAP or another MRPII
ò Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills
ò Demonstrated sound decision making, problem solving, and ability to react quickly under pressure
ò Ability to create effective interactions with multiple functional groups, translating commercial opportunities and threats into useful demand/supply information
ò Demonstrated ability to present and sell ideas, plans and recommendations through influence building skills that lead to effective decisions and improved results.
ò Demonstrated ability to think critically about issues, form objective opinions, make timely/effective decisions
ò Experience in working cooperatively across multiple organizational groups and geographies to identify and resolve system, process, financial, and other issues
