Jedson is seeking a candidate for the position of Regional Sales Manager. This candidate will have the leadership and sales skills to help Jedson achieve its mission of providing superior solutions safely to customers with emphasis on reliability, quality, as well as long-term opportunities for our employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales for engineering, procurement and construction management services to the industrial and manufacturing market in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Midwest Region. This Sales Manager would work in a team environment, and would be accountable and responsible for sales management including lead generation, proposal management, account guardianship, and closing contracts.
The Regional Sales Manager will have responsibility for establishing and developing relationships with prospects and maximizing sales opportunities. The role holder will be interacting directly with clients, often at a very senior level; they should therefore have the confidence and ability to quickly establish credibility. As our clients and prospects are based across the region and throughout the country, the role will involve extensive travel.
The successful candidate will have a strong construction and engineering focused background in industrial and manufacturing markets. They should have proven commercial experience and track record in sales or a similar customer-facing role, in the engineering services and/or construction industries. The role holder will be proactive, flexible, competitive and open minded in their approach with excellent interpersonal skills, strong commercial awareness, client focus, and a proven track record in closing deals.
The Sales Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is responsible for:
Responsible for sales for engineering, procurement and construction management services to the industrial manufacturing market.
Focus on both new business and existing clients in the Cincinnati, Ohio and Midwest Region
Identifying clientsÆ needs and proposing a solutions
Manage and execute the sales process
Position perception to the prospect that we are a partner in their business model instead of simply services provider.
Close liaison with the engineering team where appropriate
Existing client relationships are a plus
Must understand the sales process, bid no bid, proposals, etc.
Personable, good at developing relationships
Responsible for clients local to Cincinnati, OH as well as Midwest region
Travel as required
Deep understanding of the engineering services and construction industry.
Contacts / Book of Business in the region.
10 years experience with a minimum of 5 selling engineering services to industrial clients.
Ability to function at the executive level within the Industrial Clients
Bachelors Degree (Engineering / Construction a plus)
