Job Description:
This role has 7 reports, managing, organizing and coordinating the engineering function. process optimization. lean. SAP. no strategic input beyond capital projects etc. tooling. molding not necessarily required.
LOCATED IN PETROLIA, ONTARIO (NEAR SARNIA, ONTARIO)
MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING MANAGER
-Support the design, manufacture, adjustment, and installation of products and equipment while overseeing the continuous improvement of work methods in order to generate anticipated results as well as continuous improvements.
-Ensure the management of resources in order to attain department objectives and the company MBPC's.
Provide leadership and support to Engineering staff team members in the areas of:-Scrap management and process improvements
-Corporate reporting
-Customer complaint countermeasures
-Process development activities for new business and engineering changes, layout, line loading and machine commissioning knowledge
-Production tooling status and management
-Capital management and project implementation follow-up
-Start Of Production activities
At least 5 years' experience in engineering management in a manufacturing/industrial unionized environment, preferably automotive
-Bachelor of Science - Engineering degree
-Experience with lean manufacturing, SAP, computer skills
-Advanced problem solving, delegation, planning and organizing, and decision-making skills
-Technical root cause analysis
-Project management
-Knowledge of rubber/plastic characteristics, and production parameters
