Purpose of position:
Support development and refinement of pricing policies and pricing strategy. Perform analyses of pricing data to measure price and margin performance. Responsible for pricing activities as they relate to customer and dealer contracts, direct quotes, and annual pricing changes. This position requires interaction with many functional groups, including sales representatives, IT, rebates coordinator, customer service, product managers, and external parties (customers, distributors). Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in the Model N pricing system.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Efficiently and effectively provide detailed analytical and administrative support for Corning Life ScienceÆs pricing analytics group as it relates to customer contracts, adjusted cost agreements, and direct quotes. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in Corning Life ScienceÆs proprietary ôModel Nö pricing system. This position interacts internally with Pricing colleagues, Sales, Customer Service, Channel, Product Line Management and distributor/customer partners.
ò Develop detailed analyses and reporting for the pricing function
ò Update pricing system with new products and changes
ò Monitor corporate pricing and rebate initiatives, enforce pricing rules
ò Monitor and inform sales and distributors of quotes and contracts expiring in 90 days
ò Inform sales representatives of contracts that have not been signed and returned by customers
ò Maintain contract and adjusted cost account files
ò Work with marketing to keep the contract worksheet current with regard to recommended rebate levels, maximum discounts per item
ò Contribute to the annual pricing process
ò Contribute to the development and refinement of pricing rules/policies
ò Provide training and instruction in the use of the Model N pricing system

Required Education:
ò BS or BA Degree

Required Years and Area of Experience:
ò Experience with customer/distributor interactions and pricing processes.

Required Skills:
ò PC Skills
1. Advanced MS Excel skills
2. Overall proficiency with MS Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
3. MS Access proficiency a plus
ò Ability to multi-task, work independently and respond quickly to various information requests
ò Attention to detail, excellent organization, ability to prioritize work load and meet deadlines
ò Good written and verbal communication skills
ò Must be willingness to enforce procedures and guidelines
ò Rigorous and results-oriented
ò Customer-focused
ò Patient, willing to learn new skills
