Opening: Design Engineer/Designer
Our prestigious client is seeking engineering and design professionals experienced in the modeling, design, and stress analysis.
Responsibilities will heavily involve lifecycle management of design through stress analysis of interior commodities. This may include modeling/drafting of parts, assemblies, and installations using Catia V5 with Smarteam, interaction with production and installation, stress analysis using classical hand analysis and/or finite element analysis using Femap v10, and concluding with stress report writing.
This Design position is instrumental within the final phase of product development process. Within this role you can expect to:
? Contribute to planning, developing and coordinating of important engineering projects
? Provides specialized technical assistance to team members and production
? Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
? Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives
? Works under limited supervision; work should only be required to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives
? Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area
1) BachelorÆs degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
2) Candidates should have a sufficient knowledge of AutoCAD AND CATIA V5 CAD tools to adequately model and design assemblies and parts.
This position can be contract or permanent depending on preferred employment type and is located in the Midwest.
