We are currently recruiting for a automotive Assembly Seibi Technician to immediately work onsite at one of our successful automotive manufacturing clients in the Woodstock, Ontario, Canada area.
The automotive Assembly Seibi Technician duties will include: •Perform investigations to determine change requirements to equipment for new models. •Confirm equipment is designed and built to Assembly standards. •Confirm equipment meets required safety and quality standards - Torque, level, position, etc. •Develop and implement vendor trial plans for equipment. •Lead equipment Kanban process. •Maintain equipment punch list. •Conduct production trials to determine equipment capability. •Adjust equipment to meet part build requirements. •Make changes to PLC/Robot programs, GUI systems, hardware changes, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and electrical systems. •Update weekly schedules based upon actual performance. •Submit reports on all trials/results. •Submit reflection items for personal and group kaizen activity. •Train maintenance and production on equipment operation and maintenance. •Support engineer handover activities. •Support plants in US (Kentucky, Indiana, Texas, Mississippi, California), Mexico and Canada. •Support equipment trials in Japan. Required: •Comprehensive knowledge of Programmable Controllers (PLC's). •5-10 Yrs. Related experience or completion of related tech. school. •Industrial maintenance experience. •Ability to work weekends holidays, off-shift and overtime. •Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work. •Ability to think critically and solve problems by involving group members. •Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems, implement countermeasures. •Ability to work independently at equipment supplier or manufacturing facility.
Desired: •Three years experience in PLC (Allen Bradley or Toyopuc) programming. •Knowledge of US and Canadian electrical and mechanical standards. •Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills. •Previous automotive industry or client-specific experience. •Ability to read and edit PLC logic. •Prior assembly equipment maintenance experience (automotive or automotive supplier). •Electrical troubleshooting experience.

Travel: Up to 50% Compensation is dependent upon experience.
