Job Description:

The job position resides in the Control Dynamics Department which reports to the Mission Design Product Delivery Team. This job position is required to perform engineering analyses during all systems-integration lifecycle phases which include concept of operations, requirements definition, design, test-analysis verification, test-analysis validation, and post-flight analysis in support of space launch services provided for various government and commercial customers. The principal technologies that are used in this job position are dynamic systems analysis and feedback control system engineering. The engineering analyst constructs and utilizes mathematical models of physical systems, analysis methodologies, and engineering test-analysis software platforms (including analytical-data information-management tool sets) to perform launch vehicle development and mission integration functions. Through the practical application of the fundamental principles of the physical and mathematical sciences, the engineering analyst defines and models the essential features, characteristics and functional inter-relationships of an integrated physical system so as to accurately predict launch vehicle system performance, behavior, and operational margins under a wide range of environmental and operational conditions, as well as to define and evaluate configurable system parameters (e.g. attitude control system software gain and filter parameters, separation system spring sizing, etc.) to achieve desired system operational objectives.
