|Title: Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a business partner to managers; providing professional support in the following areas: recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and career development, retention, and other human resources initiatives or programs.
Specific responsibilities include the following, with other duties as assigned:
Recruitment- consulting with managers in full life cycle recruitment process to:
* Gain a solid understanding of forecasted hiring needs and how they relate to their business goals.
* Develop recruitment strategies to identify active and passive candidates through various sourcing methods.
* Screen and interview potential candidates to assess qualifications.
* Recommends qualified candidates to managers, coordinate additional interviews, and facilitate the selection process.
* Prepare, extend, and negotiate employment offers with collaboration and input from management team.
Employee Relations- provide counsel, assistance, and problem-resolution services to employees and all levels of management guided by company''s policies, labor-law legislation, and state and federal agency requirements.
Performance Management- Support managers in providing continuous performance feedback to employees. Advise managers on career development, performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
Training- Conduct training classes for various classes with Human Resources related subject matter (i.e. anti-harassment, diversity awareness, interviewing skills, etc.) Assist in the development of new training courses and related reference material.
Bachelor''s degree in a human resources or business related field. Minimum of 5 years related experience in Human Resources, with an expertise in the areas of recruitment and/or employee relations. Previous experience recruiting for technical positions, particularly in the field of engineering, in a high volume recruiting environment is preferred. Previous experience recommending solutions for employment matters is preferred.
Must demonstrate ability to build strong client relationships, provide excellent customer service, problem solve and clearly present complex information. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a strategic perspective are required. This position requires strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Experience with automated applicant tracking systems and Internet-based sourcing tools is required.
