JOB TITLE: Process & Quality Engineer
REPORTING TO: Process & Quality Engineering Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The top priorities of this position will be to learn and understand the design, manufacture, processes and test requirements of electrical connectors. This includes electrical analyses of customer requirements, determination of test methodology, designing test and assembly fixtures, internal test requirement (ITR) generation. The Engineer will also be responsible to identify and propose cost savings, solve and respond to process & quality issues, implementing and developing manufacturing and assembly processes, development and implementation of equipment, tools and fixtures, The ideal candidate will be able to work and effectively with other departments and possess good verbal and written English skills. The candidate must present themselves in a professional fashion to our customers. Performance will be measure by teamwork, making powerful offers, managing commitments including timely project completion and project results and annual cost savings.

? University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
? Manufacturing experience.
? Knowledge to understand the Engineering drawings.
? Problem solving and quality improvement skills (IE, FMEA, 8D and DOE).
? Process documentation experience
? Small components assembly experience
? Effective trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
? Tool / Fixture Design
? Testing and Failure analysis experience.

? Develop, test and implement improvements and fool proofing for the manufacturing processes.
? Responsible for keeping process and fixtures up to date.
? Design and develop small tools/ fixtures.
? Responsible for resolving quality issues.
? Propose capital expenditures, and assist with the preparation of Appropriation Requests. Assist in the design, procurement and installation of new equipment.
? Define and implement cost reductions to achieve annual target.
? Implement cycle time reduction projects.
? Implementation of a product manufacturing requirements: processing, tooling, and production equipment.
? Disposition of non-conforming materials and failure analysis.
? Assist Disposition of Returned Material Request (RMR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR).
? Assists in completion of First Article Inspection (FAI)
? Documenting, controlling and assuring product and process quality
? Lead quality engineering activities (application of fundamental statistical methods for process control)
? Quality systems development, training, implementation, verification and audits
? Lead individual cross functional project teams and report on progress
? Providing technical support to production while performing quality audits.
? Work with engineering, marketing and production, communicates with customers and outside test labs.
? Performs failure analysis and manages all aspects of customer’s quality complaints.
? Analyze quality costs and other data
? Other related duties as required.
