Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates in Mississauga is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Environmental Assessment Coordinator to join its dynamic Environmental Assessment (EA) team of 15 scientists and engineers with expertise in various technical disciplines that are key components of EA. The successful candidate will be part of the EA team responsible for conducting EAs and preparing EA study reports for power sector, linear facility, and mining projects. The applicant will be required to perform the following tasks: Writing, compiling and editing report sections; Providing technical support to the team as required; Delegating work to junior staff and providing supervision for these tasks; Assisting with scheduling and cost tracking procedures; Coordinating technical work of others ensuring deliverables are provided in a timely manner; Knowledge of environmental assessment fundamentals and applicable legislation; and, Logistics planning for field work and reporting.
Job Requirements:
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and qualifications: Masters or Bachelors of Science Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering; 3 – 5 years of Environmental Assessment work experience; Excellent writing, organizational and management skills; Excellent communication skills; Focus and commitment to providing quality deliverables in a timely fashion; Ability to function in a team setting, accept responsibility and work to deadlines; and, Familiarity/experience with power sector, linear facility and mining projects would be an asset.
