Salary - ú30,000 plus company benefits A Maintenance Technician is required for a leading automotive parts manufacturer. As a comprehensive manufacturer of press-formed automotive components, the company applies technical skills including expertise in safety and environmental performance to propose a range of technology solutions tailored to the needs of its customers. The organisation specialises in press processes that use high tensile strength steel, tailored blank welding, and hot press technology to make components lighter and safer. The company has installed high-productivity 3000-ton transfer presses and state-of-the-art hot press technology to facilitate such production processes, enabling it to offer a wide range of solutions to meet its customers evolving needs. Applications from suitably experienced Ex-Military personnel are strongly encouraged Requirements The candidate must be capable of demonstrating an understanding for the following: ò Knowledge and understanding of automated machinery ò Fault finding and troubleshooting ò Electrical and electronic systems ò Mechanics and pneumatics Automated welding systems (Mig) ò Robot fault finding and programming (Fanuc) ò PLC controlled equipment ò Good verbal and written communication skills ò Good Numeracy skills ò Ability to work to set deadlines ò Ability to work under pressure ò The candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the equipment in the plant, optimising its efficiency and continuously improving its performance. ò To respond to equipment failures, carry out repairs and implement failure countermeasure ò To carry out routine inspections and planned preventative maintenance checks ò To understand and participate in health and safety functions and carry out risk assessment.
