| Berean Group is seeking a Network Administrator III
Location: Spokane, WA
Job Type: Permanent
Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only
Essential duties and Responsibilities
• Manages servers, including e-mail, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software
• Handles security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus and intrusion detection and/or prevention systems
• Controls all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and UPSs
• Oversees installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• Ensures network connectivity of all workstations
• Administers all equipment, hardware and software upgrades
• Performs network design and capacity planning
• Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts
• Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
• Administers and maintains end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Performs server and security audits
• Completes system backups and recovery
• Monitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports
• Recommends schedules and performs network improvements, upgrades, and repairs
• Manages and/or provides guidance to junior members of the team
• Presents ideas in user-friendly language
• Other duties may be assigned.
Education and Experience
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and six or more years of related experience in network administration
• Requires extensive experience with Core Microsoft Technologies (to include, but not limited to, Exchange Server OS, Workstation OS, SQL Server and Active Directory)
• Extensive Cisco IOS, Firewall and VPN experience required
• CISSP, or other security certification, a plus
• Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco and Citrix required
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience required.
