| Engineering Co-ordinator ; ; ; Purpose / Role ; Responsible for the overall management of the EPC project engineering team in Kuwait and while in EPC contractor offices ; To provide leadership and co-ordination of engineering activities and effort of the engineering team assigned to the EPC package project ; To ensure the EPC engineering organization is resourced to the correct disciplines and numbers to deliver the package project to the requirements of the contract. ; ; ; Key aims and objectives ; Co-ordination of engineering and design within the EPC project to ensure that the design meets the contract, technical specifications, standards and operational requirements ; Co-ordination of the PMC engineering surveillance and approval of EPC contractor’s engineering, design and procurement documentation to ensure that the engineering resources available match the contractor’s documentation production and overall engineering plans ; The design proceeds smoothly and with all engineering and technical design development issues, changes and disputes being resolved within the design phase without causing delay to the project ; ; ; Prime responsibilities and duties ; Ensure that all staff under his supervision are working to the Community Procedures ; Specifications and standards and to any project-specific agenda. ; Manage the day to day interfacing between the engineering discipline team and project manager and project construction team ; Manage and co-ordinate the interfaces, and ensure good communication, between the individual Process, Piping, Civil/Structural, Architectural, E&I and Mechanical and specialist leads and discipline members. ; Manage and co-ordinate the interfaces, and ensure good communication and co-operation, between the PMC engineering team and the EPC contractor’s engineering personnel ; Manage the interface between Kuwait and all project design and engineering services work being executed in the Home Office. ; Co-ordinating the engineering effort/resources to ensure that PMC engineering review/comment/approval activities are effective in achieving the turnaround of contractor’s documentation to meet the approval/comment periods as per contract ; Organizing and participating in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Project Health, Safety and Environment Review (PHSER) exercises for the project during detailed engineering to implementing the recommendation of such exercises upon customer approval. ; Provide notification of any potential technical or commercial risk or opportunity to the project manager for further action. ; Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as required. ; Participate in project reviews. ; Develop close working relationships between the engineering group members and the project manager/projects team to provide a consistent approach and effective resolution of issues. ; Encourage the same degree of cooperation within the Contractor organization. ; Develop a good team spirit within assigned PMC personnel and encourage team working with the Contractor and other customer groups ; ; ; Person specification for guideline ; Degree in engineering discipline ; Minimum 20 years post graduate experience. ; Minimum 5 years experience in the oil & gas, refining and petrochemical industries. ; Minimum 5 years experience in the designation. ; Minimum 1 years experience with AMEC in a similar position. ; Management, leadership and teambuilding skills. ; Good written and verbal communication skills. ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; BoilerPlateText">BoilerPlateText ; BoilerPlateText" class=TEXT>; AMEC is a focused supplier of consultancy, engineering and project management services to its customers in the world's oil and gas, minerals and metals, clean energy, environment and infrastructure markets.
