The Quality Engineer position will ensure that quality standards are met both internally and by outside vendors. Duties include: ò Liaison to production supervisors in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action; ò Planning and conducting APQP activities; ò Involved in design reviews, identifying significant and critical feature characteristics and GD&T functionality on blue prints; ò Establishing and documenting critical assembly component criteria and supporting process control information; ò Analyzing production limitations and standards, recommending revisions of specifications when indicated; ò Coordinating work flow and possible supervising of lower level engineers and technicians assigned to projects; ò Evaluating part qualification status progress and results, recommends changes as needed; ò Developing and implementing quality control training programs in conjunction with HR.
ò 3-5+ years quality control engineering experience in a manufacturing/production line setting; ò Experienced in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, GD&T, APQP; ò Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ò Able to read blue prints; ò Experienced in developing and implementing quality control training programs.
