| Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Providing input to assist drafters in developing the structural design of products.
Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
Confer with engineers and other personnel to receive and provide technical information.
Recommend design modifications to eliminate structure, machine or system malfunctions.
Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to construction and/or maintenance crews.
Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
Develop, coordinate and provide suggestions, methods and methodologies for fabrication and design.
Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

Requirements
BS in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ yrs or project engineering experience in the chemical plant industry.
Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications used in modeling and tracking.
Internal Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique,li>Complex Problem Solving/Trouble-shooting - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
