As you hinted to John, stats and surveys can be misleading. IE: Who was surveyed, industry, country, where they the best at each medium, etc. Hard to believe blogs are at the top, we have never been able to get our blog http://bin95.blogspot.com/ to take off. Despite the great efforts. :>) And SEO could have been on top of Social if the people surveyed knew hot to do SEO. (My opinion) But all the rest appear to be in the order I have experienced. (Especially ppc and trade shows at the bottom. :>)
