Re: India to the Moon!
I also saw it in the television channel. India is the only 6th nation to do this. But now that they are succumbed to send a rocket because their rival chinese had already sent a manned mission early this year. In order to show their supremacy, it is a must for india. Their manned mission is expected to be a dream come true by 2015 in a budget of 15000 crores. The intial works have been already started on the government had allotted 100 crores for it.

Re: India to the Moon!
In the times today, when India is joining hands in major nuclear treaties and is on its way to rapid development, it only seems befitting to scale some new heights in aeronautics as well. The successful find of Helium-3 isotope might even help find alternative source of power generation. Fingers crossed!

I am glad that India, which twenty years ago was nothing more than a L.C.D, is now launching a succesfull space program and is heading towards the moon, the rest of the world is finally starting to catch up to American standards.

Re: India to the Moon!
When I first read about India going to the moon, I was elated. Maybe they'll get so excited about going to the moon, the other billion of them will up and hop the eff off this earth.

Indian Technology
What, did the Indians finally figure out how to shoot a bow and arrow all the way to the moon? Must've used some kind of super-eagle feathers on that one!

Re: India to the Moon!
Until few years back India was looked down by the world countries. But now the face is completely changed. The hard work had paid. Because of the fiscal deficits they were not able to achieve this target. No one must forget the fact that Bill Gates said if H1B visas are denied to Indian Computer Professionals, he would shift Microsoft Head Office to India. This is the new status that India have achieved globally.,

Re: India to the Moon!
With the advancement in technology, and espcially at the fast pace of growth in India, it would be about time India did something to join the ranks of nations that have already done so (i.e. heading to the moon). It seems that nations who have made conquests to travel to the moon gain somesort of status.
